Location was right at the point where it wasn’t too long to walk into town. It took us about 30 mins, but we also enjoyed renting a scooter for 10 mins to get us back to the hotel ($~6.00 if you drive slowly), and taking the complimentary shuttle from the hotel when it was running from 3-9 pm. There’s also a city bus that gets you into town that runs until 1 am for $2pp. Driving in can be a bit treacherous because the street is narrow and filled with people, but parking in the lot is $4/hour. Plenty of ways to get where you need to go. We went into town every night, since there was so much to do (shows, bars, dinner, shopping, galleries, history of sex museum, etc). We frequented Rosie’s, because my daughter loved their nachos, but also found some equally delicious Chinese food off the main street. The property at the hotel is very well maintained. The pictures are exactly what you see. The rooms are not carpeted, but having lived in a house on the beach, the carpet quickly becomes a musty sand trap. You’d rather have concrete under your feet. WiFi, internet, and TV worked fine. The pool area is clean: there’s plenty of seating, including two hammocks, and club chairs around the 2 fire pits. When the weather was either rainy or cold, we enjoyed playing Jenga, ping pong and billiards in the rec room, or reading in the lobby, where you can purchase snacks or have complimentary tea and coffee. The bay is 10 steps from the property. You have to cross Commercial Street but you can either walk over some rocks or there are access points (stairs) with lounge chairs. At low tide I was able to walk far out on the beach and spot the most remarkable scallop shells. Wading in the warm water was tranquil.

The staff kindly upgraded our booking to a water facing room, due to it being our tenth wedding anniversary. A lovely touch that made our stay so much better. Shuttle bus ran every half hour just outside our room, with the friendliest bus drivers I've ever met. Five minute journey into Provincetown centre. Great swimming pool. My wife and I hope to return to this hotel some day. I strongly recommend The Harbor Hotel for a wonderful and affordable stay in Provincetown.

This was our 3rd stay at the Harbor Hotel and we continue to really appreciate the friendly staff, Miami Beach-style decor and overall vibe, relatively large and bright rooms w/ balconies, ample parking, heated pool, and convenience to the beach (right across the street), Dune Shacks and Old Colony Trails (waking distance away), and downtown P-town (a short drive away). We plan to return once the renovation is complete!

Loved the location right on the bay. Beautiful looking out the window and seeing the water. The free shuttle to town was a huge plus and the driver was so informative. We also loved walking to town. Peaceful and the scenery is gorgeous! Only a 25 minute walk. The room was nice with Beekman toiletries. Loved the morning yoga bayside. So relaxing! The coffee in lobby was delicious and plentiful!

Katherine

The room was attractive. The staff were exceptional, especially the gal who worked nights. The location was good because of the shuttle bus. The shower was nice. The pool is big and very clean. The coffee in the morning was hot and good. You have access to a microwave and toaster. I would definitely be back but ask for a different room, maybe the 2nd floor would be quieter.
